Getting Started

Email campaigns are the core of DripEmails.org. This guide will walk you through creating your first campaign from start to finish.

💡 Pro Tip: Before creating a campaign, make sure you have at least one subscriber list set up.

Step 1: Navigate to Campaigns

  1. From your dashboard, click on Campaigns in the navigation menu
  2. Click the "Create New Campaign" button
  3. You'll be taken to the campaign creation wizard

Step 2: Basic Campaign Settings

Fill in the following information:

  • Campaign Name: A descriptive name for internal use (e.g., "Welcome Series Week 1")
  • Subject Line: The subject your recipients will see (keep it under 50 characters)
  • From Name: The sender name (your company or personal name)
  • From Email: The email address to send from (must be verified)

Step 3: Design Your Email

You have three options:

  1. Visual Editor: Use our drag-and-drop editor to design beautiful emails
  2. HTML Editor: Write custom HTML for complete control
  3. Template Library: Start from a pre-designed template

Step 4: Select Recipients

  1. Choose one or more subscriber lists
  2. Apply filters if you want to target specific segments
  3. Preview the number of recipients

Step 5: Send or Schedule

Choose when to send your campaign:

  • Send Now: Campaign goes out immediately
  • Schedule: Pick a specific date and time
  • Draft: Save for later editing

⚠️ Important: Always send a test email to yourself before sending to your entire list.

Best Practices

  • Keep subject lines clear and compelling
  • Personalize with merge tags (e.g., {first_name})
  • Include a clear call-to-action
  • Test on multiple devices before sending
  • Always include an unsubscribe link (automatically added)
